Entertaining two little boys aged 4 and 7 for a whole day can prove tricky sometimes so we were looking for a fun attraction with lots going on whatever the weather. Even though we were a little too early in the year for a few of the attractions there was still plenty to keep us occupied and we thoroughly enjoyed our day at Knockhatch.

We began our day walking around looking at all the different animals, from the farm animals to the birds of prey which the children really enjoyed. Each animal had snippets of factual information next to its cage so they could learn along the way. There were lots of interesting animals such as wallabies, meerkats, giant rabbits and Pepper the pot belly pig! We then found the Quadapillar Barrel Ride where the children are driven around the farm and over hills waving at the animals – they absolutely loved this!

We then went into Froggies soft play centre (so the adults could have a coffee in the warm!) whilst the children played for 45 minutes until we had to drag them out!

The mini quads were great fun for the kids at only £1 a go and they especially enjoyed the Jumping Pillow and Chair-O-Plane.

Overall, it was a fantastic low cost day out with lots to keep two very energetic little boys entertained – needless to say they slept the whole journey home! We will definitely be visiting again in the summer!
