My friend and I decided to take our 3
children aged 9, 7 and 5 to Guildford Spectrum for the day. We booked Swimming, Bowling and Ice Skating.

Firstly the receptionist was extremely helpful and helped us plan our visit advising the best order and times to book the activities. We started with Ice skating. Once we were kitted out with skates and helmets, we made our way to the Olympic size ice rink. My son and friend were surprisingly good, both the little ones used Penguins (skating aids) and I unsteadily, made my way round. This was loads of fun for everyone.

Next we got changed for the swimming pool. There is a large 25 Metre competition pool and a Leisure pool. We spent our time in the Leisure Pool and there was so much to do. The layout was perfect for all 3 children. The youngest was in the shallow end which had various small slides for her to safely play on. The other 2 enjoyed playing under the water jets, and got very excited every time the wave machine started. The boys were racing each other on the Surf slide, loved the flumes, but their favorite was the slide where they rode down in an inflated ring.

We stopped for some lunch at the Costa Coffee and then off to the Bowling Alley. All kitted out in bowling shoes we made our way to our lane. We had decided to have the buffers down, which worked really well and meant that all 3 children could join in. We all got rather competitive with big cheers when strikes were scored! The session was definitely long enough for everyone to settle into the game and enjoy it.

A very fun packed enjoyable day for all. I would definitely recommend Guildford Spectrum for all the family, it is clean ,very well run and there is something for all ages…children and adults alike.
