During May and July Colchester Zoo will be hosting a number of special pre-booked Saturday evening events offering visitors the chance to explore the zoo after hours in exclusive behind the scenes tours and enjoy special enrichment feeds and training sessions with some of the animals! Our Primate Evenings will take place on Saturday 15th May and Saturday 14th August, with the highlight of a behind the scenes tour of Orangutan Forest! The Carnivore Evening will take place on Saturday 22nd May, with highlights of behind the scenes tour at the wolves and hunting dogs as well as visiting Sasha the White Tiger for a late night training session! Don your Hawaiian shirt for our Beach Party Evening on Saturday 31st July, and join a host of our water babies, including the sealions, penguins and crocodile training session! Become a detective and solve the midsummer murder committed by one of our animal residents during our Murder Mystery Evening on Saturday 17th July! At the end of each event there will be a delicious buffet supper and a glass of wine waiting for you as well as a charity auction with the opportunity to bid for some truly unique experiences to take part in at Colchester Zoo! This competition is free to enter and the winner will be the first correct entry drawn from all entries and will be notified by 5/6/2010.  Closing date is 1/6/2010.  No correspondence can be entered into and the decision of the judges is final.  Children under 16 years old must have permission of a parent or guardian before entering.  There is no cash alternative to the prize, which is a Family Ticket (2 adults and 2 children) to Colchester Zoo.  Children must be 16 years and under.  Prize must be used before 31.10.2010.  Please refer to www.colchester-zoo.co.uk for terms and conditions specific to the venue.
